Autumn Counting Mats from Zero to Ten

There’s never a better time than now to practice basic counting and number recognition skills with little ones. To celebrate the season, we put together these adorable autumn counting mats you can use with Pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade students. Print out this activity mat for numbers zero through ten. Print out this activity mat for numbers eleven through twenty. Use them as templates to practice the following skills with your students:

Number Recognition from Zero to Twenty

Autumn Counting Mats from Eleven to Twenty

Children will trace a number from zero to twenty in the upper-left corner of the counting mat . You can use the number of the day or week, assign a number at random, or ask children to draw a number from a bin to use with their counting mat template.

Counting from Zero to Twenty

Printable Autumn Counting Activity

Children will practice counting their special number using the ten-frame or twenty-frame in the bottom-half of the activity mat as well as the autumn picture on the righthand side of the page.

Bingo dabbers make it extra fun to place the correct number of counters into the ten-frame or twenty-frame. Children can use a red  bingo dabber to fill their apple tree with apples.

Use the autumn counting mat template to practice numbers from zero to twenty as a whole class, in small groups, or during independent work time.

Children can use crayons or colored pencils to color the autumn scene to be displayed in your classroom or at home!
